| Comments About This Site This site is a work in progress. My intention is to not let the commercial aspect of the site interfer with its content. Im also hoping, and planning, that this will be a fast loading site no matter what speed you connect to the internet.
Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your perspective, the internet evolves very quickly. I have therefore found it necessary to update the document type to HTML 4.0. Im not sure what this will do to all my loyal friends who still use older browser versions.
Other than what may be required for a counter here or there, or affiliate link, there is very little javascript on my pages. There are no ticker tape applets, no slow loading backgrounds, no cold fusion, no mapped graphics, no pop-up windows and no spawned windows on this site. The reason? These features often intrude on the viewers experience and most of the time are just plain aggravating. Although it is tempting, because it adds to search engine placement capabilities, my pages are also devoid of any <META> tags or other devices that cause you to jump to some other page from where you start. So, on this site, your back button will always work. Yeah! If you do not find your experience on this site to be fast and unfettered please let me know at webmaster@zaboo.com. Enjoy and thank you! | Old Pages Have you ever gone to a site because its familiar and comfortable, only to find that its changed completely. I would hope that my revamped pages are a positive thing but if not here are some of the older pages. The approximate last use of the page is indicated at the end of each description. Please note that links are not validated or updated on these pages so eventually they may be totally obsolete. Also, a lot site links on these old pages will take you current John Bells Internet World pages instead of the old ones. Just use your back button (remember it always works on this site) to get back here.
This was my very first home page (later to be transformed into my personal home page) for my site. This was before I my virtual server from Adgrafix and I was running a small server on my home computer. The only commercial aspect, at that time, was my own Zaboo Enterprises consulting services, and Adrafix virtual servers, since I had not added any affiliate vendors to the site. Jun. 1998
Home page showing all the things you can do on John Bells Internet World along with a site index. Hmmm, [take a note] the site index might be a good idea still. Oct. 1999
Freeware page where all everything was one long, long page. Note: The Filez search engine at the bottom of the page hasnt worked for a while. Sigh! c. Oct. 1999 |
